Got Asgardians?

Okay you've got your Warriors Three and your Heimdall,
and I don't really know about Balder,
but now will you start shooting please?

I want that movie so bad!
You think we can expect something for San Diego?
Like, a first teaser trailer, maybe?
That would sooo rock...

(Ray Stevenson I officially love you again...)

MEH OF THE WEEK!

The Flash: Rebirth #5 of 6
*MEGAYAWN*

I don't get it.
At all.
It's confusing and boring.
(well I guess I'll wiki that shit once it's done...)
But seriously, I would gladly kill all these Flashes...
That continuity pudding is far too heavy for me.
Legacy yada yada yada my ass.
Just keep one of them and move on.

Hungry Like The Wolf?

I saw New Moon. It was very early this morning and now I'm a bit tired. I liked it just as much as I liked Twilight. It was okay like that. Once again, the movie makes the best (?) out of a majorly flawed book. Good adaptation. Sure it's stupid, but what can I say... I really enjoy all that silly teenage wish-fulfillment stuff.

Robert is still wearing way too much make-up and Taylor has buffed up way too quickly. They're both freaky and kinda ugly looking if you ask me, but hey, what do I know? ^__^

Alice is still the coolest of the bunch, I suppose, but it probably has more to do with the fact that she has, like, some screen time, rather than some real inner awesomeness beside her adorable cuteness.

Bella's dad was perfect. It's strange cause I hardly remember him in the books, but he's definitely my favorite character in the movies. I wont reread the whole thing to investigate though, cause there are limits.

The wolves were okay. Nothing jaw dropping for sure, but it could have been so silly. And better work on the fur than, say, on Iorek's in HDM.

I hate the Volturi. They're beyond boring.

I really liked the WTF cliffhanger ending. Judging by the collective gasp in the theatre, THAT took everyone by surprise. Nicely done, considering we probably all had read the books.

See you next summer, Forks.

Solicitations! February 2010!

huh!
it's ALL classified!
bummer!

How very Marvel of you, DC!
è__é

(just kidding... at this point in time I'd probably kill anyone who spoils me Blackest Night... and I don't think the retailers will be so pissed this time... it's the event that will outsell all events, after all...)

but wait!!
WHAT IS THAT???

ZOMG!
obligatory *SQUEEEE* of ultimate bliss!
(and just like that we've got our pick of the month!)
awww yeah conner!
^__^

15 November 2009

HOLY SHIT!

How cool is it to have one of the best comic book deaths ever in a story like Blackest Night where everyone knows your resurrection is basically just round the corner? That was some brilliant stuff, team Tomasi/Gleason!

RIP Kyle!
(until we meet again... like, next month? ^__^)

14 November 2009

Huh? But? Where's Billy?

Allan Heinberg gives us some news! (kinda)

GREY'S ANATOMY S06E09:
When Owen recruits his fellow Iraqi War vet, Dr. Teddy Altman, as the new cardiothoracic surgeon, Cristina questions Teddy's abilities in the OR and the nature of their past relationship. Meanwhile Izzie returns to Seattle Grace with her high school mentor seeking treatment for his dementia, and the stress of Richard's responsibilities, post-merger, are taking their toll.

12 November 2009

Caption this?

I'm not a big fan of the work of Bruce Weber...
And well... I'm also a proud (?) member of Team Jacob...
But that pic of the Rob for Vanity Fair?

Hot damn!
I have to say, it's kinda awesome.
"WHYYYY???"
(his tolerance for screaming is at an all time low, obviously...)

MEH OF THE WEEK!

Transformers: All Hail Megatron, volume 2
ZOMGWTF???? O__o

So yeah, last time I saw you, Optimus Prime was that close to dying and the situation was über desperate to the max. And then... Things seem to go from bad to worse for, like, 50 pages, but all of a sudden Prime is up and okay like he just woke up from his beauty sleep and he's giving his fellow autobots the pep talk of all pep talks? HUH? I'm sorry dude, but what is that shit? Where are the missing pages? Cause Ratchet had just said there was no way in the world he could save him, duh!

And also... Weren't they stuck on Cybertron with their communication thingies totally fucked or something? Like, if they wanted to go back to earth and fight the Cons, it was apparently not possible at all? Can you please explain then that stupid Omega Supreme deus ex machina fuckery? "Oh yeah I got your distress message, now let's go kick some ass!"??? Is that really the best solution you could come up with? Cause that's some seriously lazy storytelling bullshit, man!

And don't get me started on the art! Sure it wasn't that spectacular to start with, but between the crappy fill in artists and the pages that felt awfully rushed, wow that second volume is a mess!

(I gotta say, I quite liked the ending... The way Optimus has the "Humans! We'll be more than happy to help you rebuild yada yada yada..." talk with Spike and the guy is all "Dude! Are you delusional or something? You fucked our world with your stupid war and we're basically all scared shitless by you freaking giant robots so yeah can you please GTFO?" It was nice and long overdue. Nevertheless, not enough after the trainwreck.)
